Please join us for our 98th annual meeting to help us plan for the upcoming year. There will be a half hour of socializing to start. Then at 6 p.m. enjoy a meal, great conversation and the presentation of annual awards. After dinner, members will weigh in during the election of officers and decide on a program of action for the coming year.
During the meeting, we will also have a presentation from Betty Folliard on Lofty Goals: The Full Emancipation of Women Worldwide, the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), it’s connection with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), and her experience at the United Nations 62nd Commission on the Economic Status of Women. Betty is the Founder of ERAMN; co-owner of Strategy Partners, a business and political consulting firm founding in 1999; and has a long history of working in public policy including elected positions on Hopkins District 270 Board of Education and in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
New League members: This is a great opportunity to socialize, meet other members, get questions answered and become more involved with events/program planning in the upcoming year.
The active participation of League members in this meeting will help us assure that we are meeting the goals and aspirations of all of our members. We hope that many of you will participate. This event is also open to guests.
